Delightful Challenges! Celebrate! (Our Last Challege)

Welcome to another Delightful Challenge. Sadly, this is the last challenge for Delightful Challenges, as it was decided to close the challenge site to devote more time to Digital Delights by Louby Loo designs.

Digital Delights by Louby Loo will NOT be going anywhere and will continue to bring you fun and exciting daily posts and new designs.

The DT wish to thank everyone who has joined in our weekly challenges and hope that you will all stop by each week and see all the amazing designs on the digital delights blog and at www.digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.com

And personally, I'd like to thank the other DT ladies and all at Digital Delights by Louby Loo, for an amazing few months, working with you all. It's been a blast!

The Challenge at Delightful Challenges this week is Celebrate! And we're sponsered by out own Digital Delights by Louby Loo!

I got to play with the brilliant, Celebration Clock!

I went all gold for this card, with papers from the Gilded Winter paper pack layered on gold card. I used a gold pen to colour the image lightly and added a few gold pearls. Gold, Gold, all the Gold to celebrate the new year!

Delightful Challenges, Bundle Up!

The Challenge at Delightful Challenges this week is Bundle Up!, Winter Theme! And we're sponsered by The Robins Nest!

I got to play with the brilliant, Pickles the Penguin!

I used papers from Krafty Christmas, layered on red card, cutting the snowflake paper on my cameo. I used my cameo to cut pickles as well, before colouring him with my promarkers and added some twine and a few gems as a finishing touch. (shocking for me I know! lol)

Delightful Challenges, Twinkle, Twinkle!

The Challenge at Delightful Challenges this week is Twinkle, Twinkle, (add something sparkly)! And we're sponsered by Scrappy Land!

I got to play with the brilliant, Stocking Cat! And a sentiment from the Christmas Hugs!

I used papers a forever friends stack I got in papercraft essentials magazine a year or two ago - trying to dig into some of my olders papers too! lol! Layered it up on a red card base and coloured stocking cat with my promarkers. I added glitter glue (unfortunately a bit hard to see in the picture!) and gems for sparkle and a bit of twine for added interest.

Celebrate

Because I've been almost all about Christmas cards lately, I thought I'd do a birthday card to break up the visions of sugarplums dancing in my head!

And it was an excellent excuse to use both this gorgeous image I won from Kenny K a week or two ago and some new papers I picked up last week, The Black Currant Stack, from DCWV. The image immediately made me think of Catherine Zeta Jones in Chicago and the song, All that Jazz! And I already know just who I'll be sending it too, as I have a friend with a birthday in Feb, that I think will really love it!

I cut a card base in deep purple, coloured the image, with my trusty promarkers and got very excitable cutting flourishes, feathers, corners and sentiment with my silhouette (*whispers* I still get very excited every time I get to use it!). Layered up lots of the gorgeous papers with black card and added some paper flowers and gems to embellish it. I'm going to have to make a box envelope to fit it! Oh dear, I shall have to use my silhouette again ;)

I'm submitting this for:
- Moving Along with the Times - Inspired by a song
- Brown Sugar Challenge Blog #122 - Anything Goes
- Crafty Sentiments Designs - Anything Goes

Studly Christmas

I made this card for a friend of mine, one of the xmas pressies I'm giving her, is a pair of stud earrings and I know she'll see the funny side of this!

I used Echo Park papers, from the Holly Jolly Christmas pack I got a couple of years ago and layered it on Stampin' Up real red card. The image was coloured with my promarkers, the sentiment computer generated and I added a few green gems and some glitter glue to give it a bit of sparkle!

And this is the inside!

- Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

please sir, can I have s'more?

Because I can't resist a good pun! Or a bad one! lol! And becase CASology's cue card for the week is 'EAT'

I cut the s'more on my silhouette and printed the sentiment. I used a kraft card base and because I couldn't help myself, added a few little pearls. Took more time waiting for the s'more to cut than anything else, lol!

Noel

A nice CAS card today, for the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I used a freebie stamp I got from Quick Cards magazine, (last year? the year before? ish? lol!) and coloured it with my promarkers. Cut a red base card, matted the image on green and added twine, a button and gems to finish it off.

I'm submitting this for:

Delightful Sketches, It's A Kid's World!

The Challenge at Delightful Challenges this week is It's a Kid's World, (create something with a kid in mind) ! And we're sponsered by Yours or Mine Paper Crafts!

I got to play with the brilliant, Scotty Pan! And a sentiment from the Dreamy Sentiment Set!

I coloured Scotty with my Promarkers, after cutting him out with my silhouette and covered a kraft card base in paper from American Crafts Love You More, pack. Added a little twine and cut some clouds – including the sentiment and number 9, on my silhouette, mounting them and Scotty on some pads, before sticking them to the card and added a few gems to finish.

My friends little boy – although very soon not to be called so little! - is 9 in the new year and I'm sure he'll love this, as he loves all things Disney!

Merry Christmas, Owls

After a crap few days with my gallbladder and idiot surgeons who want a 'second opinion' before they decide whether to remove it - don't even get me started - I decided a few hours of crafting was in order, to try and distract myself. It only half worked, but hey-ho!

This card uses an image from Little Miss Muffet coloured with my promarkers and a bit of glitter glue. The Paper is Dovecraft from the modern back to basics range. I embossed the white card with a cuttlebug embossing file and cut the sentiment with my silhouette, adding a few little gems to finish it off.

I'm submitting this for:

- Crafting by Designs - Get Ready for Christmas
- Winter Wonderland - Lets get Sentimental

Happy Holidays, Chester

I just love this little guy - Chester from Pollycraft/Little Miss Muffet. He's been coloured with my Promarkers and I used some glitter glue on the icing to give it a bit of sparkle.

The papers are Dovecraft's back to basics, modern. I love the bold patterns from this pack! The sentiment was cut on my cameo and backed with another little bit of paper and I finished with a few little gems.

I'm submitting this for:

- Clear it Out - Anything Goes
- Crafty Sentiments Designs - 2 or more design papers

Happy Holidays!

*waves*

Crafting a bit today, after two days of painting my neighbours bathroom - you wouldn't think a bathroom could take two days, but she'd had some problems with damp that made the whole process more awkward!

A quick CAS card today, with snowflakes! No snow here yet, but I'm hoping! And this weeks sketch from Retro Sketches seemed perfect for snowflakes!

The papers are dovecraft's back to basics modern pack. I cut some snowflakes on the papers, with my silhouette and stamped a couple - not sure where from - with stampin' up more mustard and memento tuxedo black. Icut the sentiment in red to match the base card and added some gems and (although it's hard to see on the image) some glitter glue to a couple of the flakes.

Delightful Sketches, You're a Gem!

Late, late, late, so late. I was helping my neighbour paint her bathroom and completely forgot about this post, this morning! oops!

The Challenge at Delightful Challenges this week is You're A Gem, Add Bling! And we're sponsered by Magnolia-licious!

I got to play with the brilliant, Wunderland Queen! And a sentiment from the Wunderland Sentiments and Accessories set!

I went all black and red for this card, with papers from the j'adore paper pack, from First Edition and colouring the image with my promarkers in mostly greys/blacks/reds. The swirls, key and potion bottle were cut on my silhouette and I added some paper flowers and of course, the required bling (such a hardship for me, lol!) to finish it off.

Pinecone Christmas

Two christmas cards and it didn't (quite) kill me!

A man's card this afternoon, there are a couple of men in my life this could work for, but I've a half mind, who it'll be for already.

I used Dovecraft paper, from the Back to Basics Modern pack. I love this paper, but this if the first time I've had to use it! The image is from The Digi Chick and I added the sentiment, coloured with my promarkers. I cut the wreath on my cameo and added a flower, with a little button brad and pearls (all of which a friend sent me for Christmas *last year*)

I'm submitting this for:
- Creative Inspiration - Anything Goes + Optional Sketch
- I Love ProMarkers #245 - A Male Christmas
- Christmas Stampin' All Year Long #37 - Anything Goes
- Craftyhazelnuts Christmas Challenge #203 - Go Green

Light a Candle

Edit: OMG I just realised this is my 500th post on this blog! I should totally do something to celebrate... I shall have to ponder that!

Ugg, I feel so sick today. I just hope it's not the bug that's been going around, I no has time!

Still, I am in desperate need of getting some christmas cards done, so I decided I was going to do at least two today if it killed me - and it might, since it's already half past two and I've only managed one!

I used an image from Just Ink Lined, coloured with my promarkers and some glitter glue added, along with a computer generated sentiment. The papers are from the gorgeous gilded winter paper back from first edition and I distressed the edges and scrunched them up. I cut the swirls on my cameo, in more first edition paper and added lace, pearls and a couple of flowers to complete the look.

I'm submitting this too:
